Sources and Editorial Policy

The Blood of Dawnwalker Wiki is an independent, unofficial player guide. Each article should answer one concrete question and provide a useful next action: find a component, complete an objective, compare a reward, or choose a route.

Where gameplay claims come from

Official Dawnwalker channels and the official Steam announcements are the sources for release notices and patch changes. Quest steps, item locations, and outcomes may also use named specialist walkthroughs. Links appear beside the relevant facts so readers can inspect the underlying source.

A source review is not personal gameplay testing. We do not claim that a route was played, an achievement earned, or every dialogue branch tested unless the article records evidence of that work. The current guides distinguish source-supported facts from our route recommendations, component checklists, and troubleshooting comparisons.

Dates and patch context

The date at the top of an article records its editorial update. The source context describes the material used, such as launch walkthroughs or specific patch notes. It is not a certification of every mechanic on the named build.

A hotfix that improves shaders does not verify a quest, weapon value, or ending. When sources disagree, we identify the difference, narrow the claim, or remove it. Your current objective text, item description, and interaction prompt take priority when they differ from a source-based route.

Useful answers and original work

We write our own explanations and organise them around player decisions. Examples include separating a restored sword from its imbued version, comparing the complete rewards of mutually exclusive choices, and matching a stuck objective to the next required checkpoint.

We do not copy another publisher’s prose, tables, maps, or screenshots. We avoid padding articles with unconfirmed mechanics or generic advice simply to fill a page. Story outcomes appear beneath descriptive headings so readers can judge the spoiler cost before continuing.

English and Russian guides

Both languages use corresponding routes and the same factual baseline. Russian guides use their own metadata and Russian internal links. Official English quest, skill, and item names can remain where they help players recognise the relevant interface entry.

Corrections and independence

Email [email protected] with the page URL, platform, installed version, exact objective or item wording, and the step that differs. A screenshot or short clip can support a correction. Reports are reviewed against available evidence; changing a date alone does not resolve an inaccurate claim.
